I made this strawberry cream smoothie recipe the other day because we are still getting some organic strawberries in our local farmers market, and I thought I would mix things up a bit in the morning with this energizing smoothie. I included some super healthy ingredients such as Maca and probiotic powder to get me fully ready for the day. Some other ingredients you can throw into your smoothie are chia seeds which are an excellent source of protein and fiber. If you can’t get fresh organic berries, make sure you find organic frozen strawberries because berries (particularly strawberries), are right up there on the Dirty Dozen list.
- 1.5 cups strawberries, halved
- 8 0unces homemade almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup coconut yogurt
- 1 tsp probiotic powder
- 2 tsp Maca powder
- 1 cup crushed ice
