If you don’t want to use toxic pesticides in your garden, try this effective homemade DIY garden pest spray. It works wonders on my tomatoes.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 onion
  • 1 whole garlic bulb
  • 12-inch piece ginger root
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp liquid castille soap.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cover the onion, garlic, ginger, and cayenne with 1 1/2 cups of boiling water and leave overnight in a mason jar or glass jug. In the morning, strain it.
  2. Add this stinky mixture to the water and liquid soap and pour into a large sprayer.
  3. Make sure you spray over the stems, and bottom and tops of the leaves.
