I am ready for a new era of healthy lattes, which are actually medicinal because they confer very special health benefits. Remember, the big old latte that you get from the coffee shop – even it it’s a “Green Tea Latte” is likely to be a powder mixed with sugar, and then they’ll add a hefty pump of sugar syrup. So before you know it, you’re slurping a sugar spiking drink, which is honestly as bad as a candy bar. They are expensive too! This is why I recommend spending your money on high quality super foods, which will actually impact your health positively.

Green Tea and Slippery Elm Latte (Good for metabolism-boosting, energy-boosting, and digestion).
1 tsp Matcha powder
1 tsp slippery elm bark powder
1 tsp Erythritol or raw honey
1 – 2 ounces of water just off the boil
4-6 ounces steamed non-dairy milk
Mix the powders together in a latte bowl or mug.
Add the sweetener.
Add the hot water and whisk vigorously until a foam forms on top.
Meanwhile steam the milk.
Add the milk and enjoy
Mushroom Latte (Good for energy-boosting, focus, grounding and immune system).
I am obsessed with the mushroom blends from Four Sigmatic. It’s basically a powdered medicinal mushroom mixed with little instant coffee or cacao powder. The different mushrooms have different functions. Some are great for helping with focus, some a immune-building etc. Check out the different blends they have, and then all you need do is add steamed milk.
Maccachino (Good for energy and hormone balance).
This is a fun and unique latte blend where you use the Maccachino roasted maca (nutty) to make an energy-boosting/hormone balancing latte.
Golden Milk Latte (anti-inflammatory).
This is basically a turmeric latte. You can just use 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, a pinch of black pepper, and 1 tsp of raw honey, or you can use the Gaia Golden Milk blend (LOVE!!!). Just add your hot steamed milk.
