Is My Beauty Product Vegan?

Is My Beauty Product Vegan
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Okay –  a “vegan” personal care product means that it does not contain animal products or by-products, which I should jolly well hope it doesn’t! But, the question really should be: IS my beauty product is cruelty-free?

There are 2 relatively trusted lists/databases for cruelty-free products: PETA and Leaping Bunny. I prefer the latter because they are way more selective in their auditing process, and thus have a smaller list. Leaping Bunny do on-site audits and are the only Internationally recognized label to carry the kind of stringent standards that I like to see in a brand.

Fortunately many of my favorite brands are on the Leaping Bunny Shopping list, including: Andalou Naturals, Blissoma, DeVita, Eminence, Intelligent Nutrients, Jason, Kahina Giving Beauty, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Soapwalla and many many more.

I noticed their perfume list is pretty scant, but a beautiful perfume line called Tsi-la is right on there:) The vegan Kesu is my absolute fave.
