Hormone Balancing Self-Massage Oil

Self-massage is something most of us don’t do enough. We are in such a hurry that a quick slick of body lotion has to do the trick, right? But the ritual of self-massage can be deeply healing. It is an act of self-love.

Specific essential oils can be very helpful in balancing your hormones. If you are going through hormonal changes due to childbirth, stress, peri-menopause or menopause, I highly recommend that you try this Hormone Balancing Self-Massage Oil out.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp plant oil (you can use grape seed, jojoba, sweet almond, coconut etc)

10 drops clary sage

12 drops geranium

7 drops grapefruit

2 drops sage

Instructions:

Warm the oil by placing in a small cup or glass, and stand in a small bowl of hot water.

Add the essential oils.

After your bath or shower, take some time to massage, keeping in mind:

– Use long strokes along your arms and legs

– Use circular motions on your abdomen

– Spend a while massaging the soles of your feet and your toes

– Don’t forget your neck, face, behind your ears

After your massage, wrap yourself in a soft robe, and make yourself a cup of soothing lemon balm or chamomile tea. This is the perfect time to switch off all electronics, and allow yourself to read a book, or chill out.
