A “massage bar” is a solid lotion bar, which melts on your skin. You can use it everyday in place of a regular lotion, and/or you can use it as a sensual massage lotion for your Valentine.
I decided to create Deluxe Mini Valentine Massage Lotion bars because they make a delightful Valentine gift when you present them in a heart-shaped chocolate box, or a pretty Mason Jar.
I’ve formulated my bars with special skin loving deluxe oils, which all carry specific benefits as follows:
Cocoa Butter: Hydrating and smells yummy
Shea Butter: Deeply hydrating and gives a velvety “melt” to your bar,
Rose Hip Seed Oil: One of the best plant oils for treating wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.
Tahitian Monoi Oil: This oil is made from Tahitian Tiare flowers, and is prized for its skin and hair softening properties.
Crushed Rose Petal Powder: Soothing and cooling for the skin
So, are you ready to have a go at making this recipe. It is very simple, and will literally take you five minutes!
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp Beeswax pellets/pastilles
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa Butter
- 2 Tbsp Shea Butter
- 2 Tbsp Rosehip seed oil
- 1 Tbsp Tahitian Monoi Oil
- 1tsp crushed rose powder
- 40 drops rose perfume oil
Instructions:
- Gently heat oils, butters and waxes in double boiler until everything has melted.
- Whisk in the rose powder and the rose perfume essential oil.
- Pour into silicone rose molds
- Allow them to set for a couple of hours.
- Remove your mini bars from the molds and package beautifully for your loved ones.
