I’m always playing around and experimenting with the morning smoothie recipes, so I thought I’d share my latest creation, which is packed full of super foods, and is DELICIOUS! This Blackberry Beauty Smoothie has so many benefits you’ll see the results from the inside out. The star of this smoothie is the blackberries, which are full of vitamins and minerals like C, K, and manganese. They’re also high in fiber, which you know is central to a plant-based diet. The goji berries also pack a punch – goji berries are a superfood because they’re high in antioxidants. Plus, both blackberries and goji berries are foods that prevent signs of aging and protect and boost your immune system – a win-win if ever there was!

BLACKBERRY BEAUTY SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups unsweetened rice, soy, almond or coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blackberries (which are in season right now!)
  • 1tbsp goji berries
  • 1tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2tsp spirulina powder
  • 1tsp acai powder
  • 1/2 tsp Lo Han Sweetener or 1tbsp Xylitol

Tip: If you can’t be bothered to buy all the separate superfoods, you can try Boku’s amazing super food powder – 1 scoop will do the trick in this smoothie.

DIRECTIONS

  • Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until desired consistency is reached.
  • Enjoy with an eco-friendly straw.
