Making your own How to: Make your own sugar scrubs for Holiday gifts! This is so easy – make sure to find some pretty jars and labels and you’re set.
Yields: about 80z scrub
Storage: dark glass or plastic jar in cool dark cupboard
Shelf life: 6 months
- 3/4 cup organic sugar
- 2tsp ground cloves
- 1tbsp dried rose petals (Mountain Rose Herbs)
- 2 tsp grated orange zest
- 1 cup sesame or sweet almond oil
- 1 80z jar (Mountain Rose Herbs carries a beautiful cobalt blue glass jar)
Combine all the ingredients together making sure all is well mixed. Spoon into your jar. Give to friends with love and gratitude!
I ended up using unrefined sesame oil cause that was cheaper. All I can smell is the sesame. Any suggestions on what I could add to cut the smell and make it better?

You really need to use sesame oil, which you’d buy from the Body/Nutritional Section of the Health Food store. If you want to cut the smell of what you already have, add some more essential oil of clove and cinnamon if you have it.
