  1. I started reading the Gorgeously Green book this past week because my new years resolution is to live a greener lifestyle and the first person I want to get to become green with her facial products is my mother. She puts on her face this greasy lotion at night and during the day. I have gone through her products and there are a lot of ingredients from the red alert category. So my positive action for today and for everyday is getting my beautiful mother to become more green with her facial products and I am pretty sure she will fall in love with this NUDE skincare line! I want her to live a gorgeously green lifestyle and changing her facial products to more natural ones is going to be the first step.

  2. My positive action is donating to
an organization called http://www.modestneeds.org It helps everyday people who are struggling financially due to special circumstances. In these times now more than ever we need to help one another. Helping others is the best positive action there is. πŸ™‚

  3. My positive action is to donate my time to a friend who just had her first baby. And bring over a wack of stuff I have been buying throughout the past 9 months to surprise her with as she has no family close by to support her.

  4. The positive actions that I have taken today are going out for a walk even though it’s freezing and windy and picking up trash while I was out there!

  5. Today Im buying a new guitar i’ve saved up for for a long time. It’s a big deal because I live with chronic pain but get my healing through music. I’ve managed my pain through a lot of tips on healthy life style in GG. πŸ™‚

  6. I have been a believer in taking steps to save the planet and rescue our precious environment…long before this movement became the ‘cool’ thing to do. My current positive campaign is using ONLY those bath, body, personal care, and cosmetic items that are natural, safe for the environment, and safe for people. At this point, I think I am about 80% of the way there! Thanks so much for this wonderful giveaway…and your fabulous site!

  7. A positive action that I am going to take today is to have some quiet time away from the computer and reading the Bible while my baby boy is asleep. It is SO easy to jump right on the computer and spend a couple of hours while the little one is asleep, but today I am going to change that and hope to get better at it.

  8. My positive action today was waking up at the crack of dawn to help a friend finish packing!

  9. I am making more time for walking. Also, I have started reading the book GGD and will make my 1st trip to the grocery store with eyes wide open this weekend.

  10. I fully intend to stay true to myself and the earth in 2010. I plan to take care of my body both inside and out, as well as take care of the environment in as many ways as I can.

  11. My positive action today was calling my local soup kitchen to schedule a day to volunteer. I love seeing the thankful faces especially in the frigid Illinois weather this time of year. A positive action for myself today was my morning cup of toasty Organic Green Twisted Spears Tea. Nothing like a hot mug of tea to warm your body.

  12. I actually put a stop to my sleeping until 2 pm due to not being able to get to sleep until 5 am. I figure if I get up early, I’ll tire myself out enough to set my sleeping schedule back to normal πŸ™‚

    Thank you for this giveaway!

  13. My most posative action today was green cleaning my entire house for the first time! I went through all of my clothes as well and brought them to good will!

  14. My positive action today was that while I was at the book store, I decided to put the book away and make a commitment to go to the library tomorrow. I already reserved a fun, organic, raw foods book and can’t wait to pick it up! πŸ™‚

  15. I’m 24 years old and I’ve really been working hard to try and better myself and the environment in which we live in. Just today I finally freed myself from all those toxic chemical cleaners lurking beneath my sink. I replaced them with my new eco-friendly products and some of Sophie’s concoctions I got directly from “Gorgeously Green”. I also started reading a new book I got for Christmas called, Cradle to Cradle. It really puts an insight on how we need to start making better decisions so our future can be something to look forward to, clean and GREEN.

  16. As I’m sure many of us have, I’ve been spending a lot of time contemplating the New Year– with all its hopes and dreams. I honestly don’t have a great track record with resolutions and goals. I realized today why. My goals and resolutions have not come from a place of love. “I want to lose weight because I loathe the way I look.” As opposed to “I choose to be healthy because I love and am grateful for my body.” “I want a new job because I hate the one I have.” Rather than “I want a job that I love and am passionate about.” Or “I want to get involved because I hate this or that.” As opposed to “I want to share love and help make our world a better place.” Today my positive action was to begin to create a vision board for 2010. In the center it says, “I choose love.” I think it’s a good start.

  17. I got up early to be more productive and went to a coffee shop to do some work with a friend, it ended up being a meaningful conversation with her instead.

  18. On my husband and I’s road trip from SoCal back to NorCal today, we saved our empty plastic water bottles (had to buy some extra when refillable ran out) to recycle at home instead of just throwing them away at rest stops. A small step, but glad we did it πŸ™‚
