NORVELL SUNLESS TANNING SYSTEM

norvelOOOOH – I was delighted to test Norvell’s Sunless Tanning System because I wear little dresses a lot nowadays, and I’m dedicated to staying out of the sun as much as I can. Needless to say, my limbs are naturally uber-white. If I was Nicole Kidman I’d be okay with this, but I’m looking at rather more patchy and sun-damaged skin than our lovely Nicole, so a bit of serious fake tan is in order!

Norvell is a system of 4 products: A primer for exfoliation while keeping the pH balance of your skin as it should be, a Bronzer, a Optimizer, and and Enhancer. Although you don’t need the whole kit, it does work beautifully together. Let’s talk about the 360 Sunless Eco-Mist because this is the one that I tried. It’s a non-aerosol can, which delivers a fine mist over your bod. I loved it because of the ease of application, and because it’s not stinky! The one thing that surprised me a little was that the spray isn’t an even spray, and you have to be careful because it goes on really fast, and is pretty dark. You will need a tanning mitt (I purchased one from the beauty supply store), to smooth it out. Also, you need to be super careful of not over-tanning your feet – I totally made this mistake and ended up with Oompa Loompa feet, but next time I’ll make sure I apply a thick layer of moisturizer to my toes and heels before spraying.
I did need to get dressed in dark colors and wait for 8 hours before showering, which I didn’t love because I hate the feeling of any kind of film on my skin, but it was worth it for the pretty tan that I woke up with the next day.

I love that Norvell doesn’t use harmful chemicals, and gives us a variety of different ways to apply: spray, mousse, cream etc.

The tan doesn’t come out too dark, either – just a golden, “beachy” glow. It lasted on me for 5 days.
