  1. DIY is green because you use less fosil fuels, less enery and less water. You use less or no chemicals. You also have the satisfaction of completing your project without help and its done the way you want it done.

  2. DIY is right! I’m usually the one who washes the cars. Is nice to have a product that I know won’t wreak havoc on my car, my yard, my kids or the good people who live downstream from us.

  3. In this case, especially, DIY is green because you aren’t wasting gallons of water through your hose at home or at the car wash. Plus you don’t have to actually DRIVE to the car wash(if that is your only option)because you can use this practically anywhere!!!

  4. DIY is green because you are using less water by not dragging the hose out, not wasting gas because you aren’t driving to the car wash, and also not polluting. It could be considered wasting less time because you are burning calories and using your own energy…saving a trip to the gym or the treadmill!

  5. DIY is green because you are in control of choosing the products you use. Using Lucky Earth products is good for the environment in multiple ways: no chemical waste runoff, no chemical hazards to the user, no consumption of energy or water all the while you are supporting a company and their products that are friendly to the environment. You, your car, and the environment are Lucky!

  6. DIY is definitely green as you get to decide what you are going to use; therefore, you are the one in control of the environment not the other way around. With Lucky Earth no water is needed to wash the car, so you will be helping to reduce water consumption, and no pollutants will run off into our streams, rivers, and lakes. How awesome is that! It is up to use to decide on how we are going to make this earth a better place for not only ourselves, but for future generations.

  7. It is a awesome product because you can control what you use and no water is needed. This saves the enviornment and makes me feel proud to not hurt the earth.

  8. DIY is green since you are using your own power and strength to accomplish a task rather than someone else’s. You are in control of the products you use or make and yu can control how they are disposed of. I think of my 3 year old and hope he is learning that he is capable of change and that he will have a greener planet to enjoy someday.

  9. DIY is green because you have all of the control – from the products you use to the techniques. It also gives you a chance to reuse or repurpose old things in your home – such as your old t-shirts for cleaning up after painting, etc. You just can’t do that with a contractor. With planning, you can even save gas (not to mention greenhouse gases) and money by avoiding limited the amount of travel. Often contractors – especially specialty contractors – have to travel quite a bit further to get to your job than you you have to travel to get to the store to get your supplies. If you limit your trip to one (and possibly include the shopping for more than one project) you will save gas along with wear and tear on the environment. Of course, DIY projects offer a lot of free and environmentally friendly learning experiences.

DIY is green because you know what is going into the project and you are using your own energy and resources. DIY green is can be a good excercise, family time or meditation/quite time. You will find yourself and live happier knowing that you have created / improvised with your own hands; meanwhile decreasing junk and needless items in the world.

  11. DIY, green stuff: You can clean your car without using water. Green stuff because you don´t use any chemicals that harms the environment. Great.

  12. i live in Southern California and right now, with all the dirt and ash in the air, it’s terribly wasteful to go to the carwash again and again. i’m so excited to hear there is a product out there that actually allows you to do it yourself without using water! Hopefully we’re blessed w/ some rain soon…

  13. When I wash my truck – not very often – I use water from my rain barrel for the wash and then just rinse with the hose. I also put my truck in a dry area of the yard so the water goes down into the ground and not the drain. Good exercise, saves water, waters my dry plants, and provides my daily dose of vitamin D!

  14. Why is DIY green? Do it Yourself to is green as it is self-propelled … an awareness. You’re doing it yourself … it’s a opportunity to be connected and empowered with your environment. From washing your car to making a healthy meal to planting your own herbs. DIY can be small to big choices.

  15. DIY is green for some of the following reasons: you avoid having to drive somewhere to get something done (less air pollution), you can control what goes into what you’re making (less toxic chemical use), and you can show your family/friends how to do something on their own rather than always relying on outside help (spreading clean, green knowledge).

  16. DIY is green because your saving precious fossil fuel by not requiring a handy man to drive out to the location. Also, you can choose the products you use rather than the company’s choice, so green products are an option. Basically YOU make the decisions on water usage, products, and energy consumption. It doesnt hurt that others will see the green steps you’re making and follow in your footsteps. DIY lets you be as green as you want!! plus you save some $$ green $$ yourself :]

  17. DIY is green because you’re saving gas by not driving anywhere and you’re using products you may have or may be making at home. DIY also saves TONS of money.

  18. Very exciting! Our family would love that. With a 5 year old & 6 month old boy plus two dogs ( yep both boys : ) anything that’s green and can be used to clean is awesome!

  19. I would love to DIY my car, we live on an acerage (get our water trucked in so washing car at home not option at the moment). our dirt roads mean my car gets really filthy, I leave it till my husband tells me off before I go wash. I pre-rinse the car with just water rather than straight into the soap = less soap used. but doing it at home using no water would be nice

  20. oooh I would be in heaven knowing these green products were cleansing my home. All my friends would reap benefits! They practically live with me…

  21. The Futon Shop is a local company that has been around since 1976 promoting locally made bedding and futon couches. The Futon Shop’s more than 30 hand-made mattress styles give you perfect comfort in earth-friendly natural materials.

Choose sizes from crib mattresses on up, firmnesses from extra soft to extra firm, to fit both conventional platform beds or our own convertible sofabeds.

  22. i think that DIY is green because when you make something by yourself then you know exactly what goes into the styff that you are making. you buy things for the product that most likely will not be toxic. in the factories they have tons of packaging for toxic and harmful ingredients that may not even be important in the end, and at home U R THE BOSS.
