LIFESOURCE GIVEAWAY

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

lifesourceWe’ve voted the Lifesource water bottle,  as the best reusable bottle ever. Why? Because it’s a perfect size, it’s BPA-free, its easy to drink out of, and best of all, you can actually see what’s going on inside the bottle. The Sigg bottles freak us out a bit because (BPA-issue aside,) you can’t see whether it’s really clean or not. We are picking 3 winners for this giveaway and each will receive 3 water bottles – that way you’ll be covered. I’m a huge fan of Lifesource water, as it’s a family-owned, made in America, eco-friendly company, whose filters create the best tasting water ever, which unlike many other systems, actually retain the minerals content of your water.

  1. If everyone truly believed that their actions, their choices, and their attitudes had the power to influence the world for the better – oh what a beautiful world it could be!!!

  2. “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
    -Mahatma Gandhi

Day in and day out I do my best to live by Gandhi’s famous words; therefor, I shop locally for organic foods, I’m a conscious shopper about where my products come from, and I lend a hand whenever I can TO whoever I can. All of our small changes really do add up to make the biggest difference!

  3. If no one believed in change, and no one took a stand to implement change, then our changing world would not exist. One person, or one small change can create a world of difference.

  4. our one change will hopefully inspire “one change” for someone else and on and on! someone has to start for everyone else to climb on board…so why not be that start?

  5. We have to do everything we can to save our country so our children can have happy, healthy lives. I get scared and worried about what life will be like for my 25 year old daughter. I want her to have all the opportunities I did. Reusable water containers that filter water are can make a huge impact on our environment.

  6. If only everyone could realize that starting small is key. Global warming didn’t happen overnight, nor is it realistic to believe it will go away overnight. But small steps towards change can make a difference.

  7. Just think if everyone made one change like switching to reusable water bottles or reusable grocery bags. That would make a HUGE difference in just one step.

  8. One change can make a huge difference especially once others see your change and start to emulate it. We try to make one change at a time at home and teach our daughter to do the same, hoping that she will keep the habits for a lifetime and do the same for her children.

  9. One change absolutely makes a difference. I made reusable snack bags to give as gifts to all the kids in my son’s class. The parents were so happy – one even said she wasn’t going to buy any more ziplocks! What a difference that would make! (I currently making some for the teachers because they nearly begged 🙂

  10. All ‘big’ changes are nothing more than a combination of many people making ‘little’ changes. We look at the day to day choices that we make as simply effecting our small little world, but when others are choosing to effect their small little world as well, the combination can quickly become something much greater and more awe inspiring. But, the first step is the key. If we do not choose to make the little changes, for fear that they are futile, the big changes are not possible.

  11. One change can make a difference…you may not notice, but a chain reaction happens. People notice your green choices and conversations often arise. Awareness follows. Using re-usable grocery bags or changing to CF light-bulbs or choosing green products shows you care and want change..others will follow suit. When you see the difference one change makes you often feel good and are inspired to implement more. These water bottles are a great example. My husband and I had the Aquaovo Eco-Thermo (which is glass). Everywhere we used it we had people asking what it was, why we used it and where we got it. A couple weeks back my husband dropped his and it shattered. I was looking at getting him a new one for Christmas, but think this is a much better option because it is shatter proof!!

  12. I try to make small changes every day in my life. I have silverware at work instead of using the plastic stuff. I recycle everything and try to re-use whatever I can. I support my local farmers market and bring my own bags to the store. I can’t change the world, but I can chanbe my little part of it.

  13. One small change can be a baby step. So often, we think we can’t make a difference unless we go “whole hog.” But what if every one of us replaced ONE bottle of cleaner a year with something safer and more environmentally friendly? What if we all bought just one or two of our Christmas gifts from local vendors? If all of us – or even most of us – would just make one SMALL change in areas like this, it would add up to a BIG difference!

  14. If everyone could make small changes each day the world would be a healthier place. Wish everyone would make these little changes and I do try to encourage those that don’t. I am teaching my children all about recycling, reusing, growing our own vegetables and to treasure used items….

  15. I’d love to have these bottles. I’ve used other bottles, but don’t want to throw them out until I have good ones to replace them with. This small change would make a huge difference in my home!

  16. I am an avid water drinker, and take my reusable bottle wherever I go…my poor plants though…I hog it all to myself I have to remember to give them a drink!

  17. One small change…it can and truly does make a difference. One small change I made in the last 2 years, and subsequently have seen many others in my town make this one small change as well, is buying my grass-fed meat and poultry from a small local farm. My one small change has lowered the carbon footprint of my meals, economically supported a local farmer rather than a big CAFO, kept extra methane and manure lagoons from existing and damaging the environment, provided my family with leaner and healthier meals, supported the raising of and treatment of healthier animals before they end up on my fork, created less packaging waste, supported “managed intensive grazing” on a biodiverse farm, and created new like-minded friends.

I’d say that’s a lot of things that one small change affected, and I’m proud to be part of that change!

    Merry Christmas to you Sophie!

  18. I have to believe that one change makes a difference. Watch a kid sometime. What what happens when they are sweet and kind. See how the parents react, see how they treat others. Then watch a child who is not so kind, and the affect that has on the parents, and then others. I am a strong believer that “pay it forward” applies to everything, actions, attitudes…

  19. The only change I can make is within myself, so I try not to expend energy on changing others. People will change when they feel inspired and passionate. Until then, I must live in a way that inspires others.

  20. One change makes a difference…I think this is so true! With each small change I make, I become more confident that I can make more changes in the future. Plus, you never know how your one change may inspire others to do the same. After my switch to reusable bags, my mom, sisters and friends quickly followed suit. You never know who I could inspire to stop drinking bottled water with these fancy bottles 😉

  21. I’ve tried to make one change a week in my journey toward greater health and greener living this year. I started in January and have kept it up. It has been the most educational and fun year of all my 37 years! It is amazing how in doing this my life is so different today than it was a year ago- all because of one change a week!

  22. Change, great or small, affects my world today, tomorrow and generations to come! The legacy I leave behind is more important to me than the convenience of the moment.

  23. When I first started going green I decided to jump right in and go completely green. I quickly became overwhelmed doing everything from making my own shampoos to researching every single purchase I made. It was exhausting and I quickly realized that if I was going to make a difference I needed to take it one step at a time. Now every time I find a new, great, environmentally friendly product my friends and family are interested to learn about it too and view me as more of a knowledgeable source and not just a crazy person.

  24. OOOh, I could use another water bottle, my son is now 2 and doesn’t want to drink out of little bottles anymore, apparently the water tastes better out of my bottles 😮

  25. One change at a time, one step at a time. It makes the difference from wanting to do the right things to actually doing them. I know if I think about all I should be doing I freeze and do nothing. It is too overwhelming! I know today I can choose to take my shoes off at the door to avoid having to run the vacuum yet again…I can remember to bring my reusable coffee cup to the coffee shop this morning.

  26. One change really can make a difference when it turns to your attitude. Relaxing and taking respect for others into account can brighten everyones day!

  27. Changing to these water bottles would definitely make a difference in our health and the environment. A little bit goes a long way, and in my experience, these small changes begin to snowball and before you know it, good things are happening all over the place! 🙂

  28. for our company christmas party, i deemed it :a green christas: i left a list of simple things that each person could do to lessen their footprint. i took alot of ideas from gg book. when they came to the party, they were to tell me what green thing they are now practicing from the list or from their own lists. in return i gave them a trader joe’s re-usable shopping tote. i also reminded them that it’s important to be the change you want to see in their world. i love impowering people!!!!!

  29. It’s like the domino effect. Or- monkey see, monkey do… 🙂 If you make a positive change, someone will notice…and they will (hopefully) do it too…

  30. Oh my gosh! This is it, this is the one I have to win!! I have had never-ending issues with water bottles and had yet to find a suitable, eco-friendly, non-BPA one…until now!

Everything that you do, every action that you take has the possibility of changing someone’s life. The small changes are the ones that make a difference; they tend to have a rippling effect that permeates through communities and society until they become a permanent part of our lives and no one could see it being any different. That’s how all major changes started, by one small action.

  31. One change by one person may not seem like a lot, but if millions of people made that same change then it becomes exponentially more powerful.

  32. One change can make a difference in a household due to the ripple effect. If I consistently follow the rules of reduce, reuse, and recycle; then my husband and children tend to follow suit. Sometimes they become better at it than I.

  33. Sometimes I get so worried about what everyone else is not doing and I forget that I can only change me! But my one little change will probably be seen by many and that makes all the difference.

  34. I’m wearing my “Think Earth” t-shirt today that I ordered last week from this site made out of recycled products from “alternative.” I saw a group of women today at a holiday get together and told them about the recycled products used/wind power, etc. to make the shirt and got some of them “thinking” green. The cumulative effect of one change means everything! WE ALL CAN DO IT…TOGETHER!
I work out at gym almost every day and used to buy cases of “water”…I always use refillable BPA free bottles now and wouldn’t be without them! Looks like a GREAT give-a-way! ; )

  35. I was looking at the website and couldn’t find where the water bottle was for sale..l looked under “products” but didn’t see it? I’m probably just missing something on the web page…but, it sounds like a great product and would like to check it out : )

  36. When I started carrying reusable bags for shopping, others noticed and said “You’re so good”. Then I noticed they too started carrying reusable bags and I’m sure they had the same effect on others. So, one change does make a difference – a cumulative difference.

  37. One change makes such a huge difference. It can mean a change of anything in your life but it never stops at just one change. It starts at one and cascades into so many! I found this in the new life style that i’m undertaking. If i have the courage to make just one change in the way that i do things, I am able to change so many other things. Small or large change takes courage!

  38. It is an unsightly thing to see that for years mounds of trash gets dumped and piles up in neighborhood’s back yard. I was always glad to see that recycling systems were created and always did my part to put atleast 95% my household trash as recycleables. It is sad to see that apartment complexes have not been able to adopt some form of recycling system. My kids and I are always refilling water bottles in our home and carrying them with us to school, work, or just outdoor.

  39. 1 simple change can make a difference. It can be quite inspiring. Several months ago I was suffering from headaches and felt tired all the time. I made the decision to start drinking more water (as I hadn’t been drinking anything close to my 8 glasses a day.) I favored soda & coffee. Now, after drinking mostly water, I’ve lost the desire to have sugary things. It started the ball rolling towards a healthier diet & a more energetic me. Water is awesome & even better in a great water bottle.

  40. Like others have said the real way one change makes a difference is by inspiring and motivating others, not to mention ourselves. There are a lot of people who are afraid to be the first to try something, or it just doesn’t occur to them. If my reusable shopping bags give other people ideas, that is wonderful. We can only change the world one person at a time!

  41. Every change makes a giant impact. When one person makes even a small change, it will spread like wildfire. I have two children and they follow my example. For instance, when I started drinking bottled water, so did they. When I started recycling, they followed suit. When you make a change, you make a difference. When you make a difference, someone is always going to follow right in your footsteps.

  42. My friends tease me about being too concerned about the environment when I take their recyclables out of the trash or make sure to only give upcycled or handmade gifts, but this year for christmas they all got me gifts from Fair Trade, so apparently my nagging and concern for the environment convinced them to change at least one thing about themselves.

  43. My nephews may think I’m a treehugger, but I know it’s all about making one change at a time…there’s still more I can do, but using a filtered pitcher and reusuable bottles is something I do strive for (as opposed to buying bottled water)…I also try to always take my own bags, I have a rain barrel for catching water to water my plants…..no solar panels though, not yet at least…GRIN

  44. Sometimes I feel discouraged when I think of how many changes there are to make when going green and I always feel I should be doing better. Then I try to remember back to my life before I ever started “going green” and realize that along the way I really have made a lot of changes, one at a time. When I think of what I do now compared to what I did a year or two ago, I realize that small changes, one at a time, really do add up to a big difference. And of course there is always room for improvement!

  45. We use resuable bottles for our kids’ lunches instead of juice boxes – it’s better for the environment, our pocketbooks, and for their health because they can have BPA free water instead of sugary drinks.

  46. My high school performs a community service project each year which usually involves picking up trash, landscaping the lawn in front of the district office, or making floral arrangements to deliver to the retirement home across the street. Most students grumble about doing these things, but I think they definitely take the first step towards making a difference in someone else’s life.

  47. Sometimes we feel that the change that we are making as an individual…won’t make much of an impact in solving a problem for the uiverse, our earth or maybe just sometimes in our very own neighborhood. OUR change can possibly have a great impact on others…always remember that leading by example is surely the way to go.

  48. Every choice we make will make an impact. I try to make positive impacts on our world and choose to teach this to my children.

  49. “One Change Makes a Difference”
Oh, how true these words are. And yet, most spend too much time thinking about how it would be if we changed this or that, or if everyone made just one little change. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, for much of my life, I have found that that is All that gets done – thinking about change. Suddenly, one day, I decided to actually change something. Just one thing. It was like a domino effect – I made more and more changes. I took baby steps and leaped bounds! Simply knowing that I could change no one else, that I could only make a difference in my own choices and actions, led me to see how my own changes in intention, thought, word, and action caused a ripple effect that allowed me to be aware of a universal change – a universe I am part of.

  50. I’m trying the one change makes a difference with high school kids. If we can influence one, and they influence one, etc.

  51. ONE change makes a difference because if we all just stepped aside and waited for someone else to take a stand then no one would make an effort because we would be waiting for someone else to. Even if it is a small change or a big change, it is something that counts. We are all in this together!

  52. My fifth grade teacher told me that we all must work to make our little corner of the world better. I think of that often when I’m feeling helpless to remind myself that one person, and one change, can make a difference.
