My very good friend, Chandanni, just got back from a few weeks in India, where she collected many of the beautiful Malas that she sells back here. I am obsessed with mine. Chandanni, who is an Ayurvedic practitioner, gifted me one of her traditional rosewood and gem malas a few months ago. She showed me how to wear it wrapped around my wrist, and I kept it on for weeks. I just love the look and feel of the soft, fragrant wood against my skin. And the little gem stones add a splash of color and spiritual meaning to this beautiful piece of meditation jewelry. Chandanni’s Malas are beautiful.
I also love that Chandanni supports a small community of women in India, who are so grateful to be making a living by threading the gorgeous beads.
I highly recommend that you pick one out for yourself, and someone you love this Spring. Wearing it wrapped around your wrist or as a necklace, will remind you to become mindful and meditate. All my besties are getting them for gifts this year:)
I love all the Malas, but I particularly love the Rose Quartz Mala, as this semi-precious stone reminds us about self-care and self love … and Goodness knows we need to be reminded, right?
If you check out Chandanni’s site, you also might want to take a peek at her Ayurvedic skin care line, which is deeply nourishing, and VERY gorgeously Green.
