If you were to turn my purse upside down and give it a good shake, you’d be MORTIFIED at the number of lip gloss/stick/balms that would come tumbling out. I’m not afraid to admit when I have a problem … And I have a problem. Call it silly but I LOVE lip color, especially for “women of a certain age,” when we start to lose our coloring. A hit of lip is just what the doctor ordered. But I am so excited to announce that I can empty my purse of most of my lip products, because I have completely fallen in love with the new line of Lip Dye by Elevé Cosmetics.

I discovered Elevé during last year’s Gorgeously Green Beauty Awards, and it’s been a love affair ever since (seriously, if you haven’t checked out the other products in their line, you’re missing out). Literally the first thing I did was test their lip dye, and I’ve never looked back. This line looks like a gloss, until you’ve applied. The color binds to your lips like magic, and it stays there FOR HOURS. I mean, it’s a terrible business model for Elevé … One swoop in the morning and you’re good for the whole day. It’s a good thing they have four amazing colors, or they may never sell multiple products 🙂

If you’ve watched any of the videos from my Hello Gorgeous Retreat in Miami, you may have noticed my fabulously tropical pink lips: Thank you Elevé Lip Dye (the color was Miami, as if they could be any cooler). This winter, I was all about Santa Fe, which is a deep, deep purple in the tube, but wears like a very dark berry on the lips. Seattle is a fabulous red, and they have a limited edition Taos out, which is a deep scarlet (for any of you ladies who are looking for a bold lip, I would absolutely recommend).

Now, I’ve tried a lot of long-wear lip colors, and they always leave my lips crusty, with flakey color that never stands the Napkin Test (you know … wipe your mouth and see all your color come off too). Elevé aces the Napkin Test. It also aces the Lip Balm Test, the Talking All Day Test, and the coveted Never-Have-To-Check-Your-Lips-In-The-Car test.

Want to know the absolute best part? Lip Dyes are all-natural, vegan-based, GMO-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free  and cruelty-free.

So head over to Elevé to learn more, and check out the whole line!!
