I first heard about Bio Follicle Hair Support System because they created an organic hair loss prevention spray, which customers loved. Although I haven’t tried these products on hair-loss, I was really interested to test out their sulphate-free shampoos and conditioners.I received a sample of the Lemon Grass and Sage shampoo and conditioner, and was impressed with the ingredient list: all the ingredients are 100% plant derived, many of them are organic, and the whole line carries my favorite Leaping Bunny logo, meaning that they are cruelty-free. Also, Bio Follicle products contain antioxidants and lovely aromatherapy oils.
The shampoo smelled wonderful, and since I am used to sulphate-free shampoos, lathered up in the way I would expect it to (not too much foam.) BTW, if you are switching from regular shampoos to SLS-free formulations, you will notice a big difference in the lather – there aren’t nearly so many suds, which at first feels odd – almost as if it’s not really getting your hair clean. But, remember that SLS, which is a foaming agent, also strips your hair of color & natural oils, and it really dries out your scalp and hair. As expected, the shampoo left my hair feeling smooth, silky and really clean. The conditioner was great for a daily job, but I have pretty dry hair, so would need a deep conditioning treatment to use for every other wash.
Other scents include: Pomegranate, Lavender, Rosemary & Mint, and a 100% Pure organic Argan oil.
I always love finding a pure hair care line that performs as well as some of the more conventional ones that contain silicones, waxes and synthetic ingredients to make your hair feel shiny.
