OMG – seriously, this is the most delicious ice cream treat that I’ve ever tasted!!!! I found some Kefir ice cream in my local store, and snapped up a couple of tubs for my daughter. Then, I saw some Health. Ade Pink Lady Apple Kombucha, and I had an idea: a Probiotic Ice Cream Float.

It’s truly a marriage made in heaven. I used Lifeway Strawberry Frozen Kefir, which is full of live bacteria cultures for good gut health. Kefir is a powerhouse for a healthy microbiome. It is a fermented milk product (cow, goat or sheep milk) that tastes like tart yogurt. Kefir contains high levels of vitamin B12, calcium, magnesium, vitamin K2, biotin, folate, enzymes and of course the probiotics.

You can use any kind of Kombucha, but I do like Health. Ade, and I particularly like their flavors. The Kombucha adds even more probiotic to the mix, B Vitamins, and gives your float a sweet fizz. It’s truly heavenly.

It makes for the perfect afternoon summer treat. Or, you could serve it as a very unique dinner party dessert, with a bowl of fresh cherries or strawberries on the side.

Ingredients

2 scoops of frozen Kefir

1/2 cup Kombucha

Instructions

Simply place the ice cream in a cup and pour over the Kombucha. You will need a straw and a little spoon to enjoy it.
