I rarely buy mouthwash because most of them are so toxic, and they are so very easy to make. Try this recipe, and you won’t go back! This recipe will do a great job of cleaning your teeth and entire mouth, and it is highly anti-bacterial too.

Yields about 14 oz mouthwash

You will need:

  • 16 oz plastic bottle (a washed-out mouthwash bottle is perfect) or you can use a glass apothecary-style bottle, which will look pretty in your bathroom.
  • 1 cup aloe vera juice
  • 1/2 cup distilled water
  • 1tb witch hazel
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 20 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 10 drops clove essential oil

Mix all ingredients in a measuring cup and transfer to bottle.  Store for up to 2 weeks in cool, dark spot.
