DIY Adzuki Bean Mask and Spirulina Body Wrap

90-1

I am a firm believer that what we put in our body directly affects our hair, skin and nails. That is why it is critical that we eat healthy, nutrient-dense foods to keep our bodies strong and glowing!! Today, I’m with my dear friend Kym to lay out two of our favorite super foods for glowing skin.

First up is Adzuki Beans!! My recommendation is to eat about 1/4 cup Adzuki Beans per day, and check out Kym’s recipe for an Adzuki Bean Mask below!

Spirulina, which is a blue-green algae, helps with inflammation! Add it to your smoothie, or add it to an ace bandage for a marine body wrap!
DIY Adzuki Bean Mask

  1. Combine, 1/2 cup of ground up, uncooked adzuki beans, 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup yogurt, 1 tsp honey
  2. Use this mixture to wash your face every night
  3. Mix 3 tbsp spirulina powder, 1 cup of aloe vera juice (which is also very moisturizing) and 10 drops of lavender essential oil for an extra soothing effect. Saturate a medical bandage in the mixture and wrap around your body.
  4. Leave for up to 1 hour for glowing skin
