Alkalizing Muesli

I love to set myself up with a really great alkalizing breakfast. This is one that includes some of the most alkalizing fruits and grains, which thankfully is very easy.

Remember that you body works optimally when it’s in a more alkaline state. The typical American breakfast plate containing bacon, eggs, sausage, and baked goods, is extremely acidifying. When these kinds of unhealthy foods are consumed, your body has to fight hard to bring itself back into a balance pH state – this means that vital minerals may be pulled from your bones, and all your bodily functions will not work optimally.

Unfortunately, many of the grains that I love such as oats, kamut, wheat etc are classed as “acidifying” foods. There are very few grains that fall into the alkaline category, but one of them is Millet. Millet contains so many minerals that it really should be considered a super food. I found some millet flakes, which I love to use in a simple morning muesli.

I have included specific alkalizing fruits, and used Hemp milk because almond, rice, and soy milk are all acidifying.

This museli is so tasty and filling that it might become your breakfast go-to!
