Here are my five top choices for last-minute gifts that everyone loves. I was in the mall today and saw women grabbing armfuls of candles, scarves, gloves and jewelry that was on sale – obviously for gifts, however, if you’re going to grab a few last minute gifts, buy something that is not only easier for you (no going to the mall,) but is actually something the recipient will use, rather than gift on. My choices are also greener as they don’t involve huge amounts of packaging or wrapping either.
1. Movie Tickets: My husband and I love getting movie tickets to our favorite theater. It’s what he asks for from his mom every year. 
Movie tickets are great for virtually anyone of any age.
2. Mani-Pedi Gift Certificate: This is such a great gift because with so many people out-of-work, not all your friends will be able to pamper themselves as they used to. If you can’t actually make it to the salon, call them, pay by credit card and make your own cute certificate. I like to gift girlfriends with a couple of bottles of non-toxic polish with their certificate too.
3. Dinner For Two: If you love cooking, a beautiful gift is a homemade certificate to a friend for a “Homemade Gourmet Dinner For Two (delivered to their door at specified date.) You can even create the menu on a beautiful card. If you hate cooking, maybe a certificate for a local restaurant.
4. A Farm Box Gift Certificate: Many people are turned onto getting a farm box because they initially got a 
box as a gift. Try Farm Fresh To You or Local Harvest, to find a farm who delivers near you.
5. A usable Gift Certificate: Given that 10% of gift cards are never used – I only give ones that I know the recipient will probably use almost immediately – so that has to be either Starbucks or iTunes.
