Do you really want to spend your hard-earned cash on toilet cleaner??? No thank you very much! I’d much rather whip up my own for a few cents and save the rest for the more important items in life such as shoes! Moreover, many grocery store toilet cleaners contain bleach and other toxic chemicals that you could well do without.
This is a simple and great recipe that I always make:
- 1 cup distilled water
- 1/4 cup liquid castille soap
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1tsp tea tree essential oil
- 1 tsp lavender essential oil
- 1 toilet bowel squirt bottle
Mix all the ingredients in a large glass pouring jug. Careful when you add the vinegar as the whole lot will fizz.
Pour into the squirt bottle – I use an old toilet cleaner bottle.
Shake the bottle before each use. Keep in mind that this is also a toilet scrub – so have a good toilet brush at the ready!
