TIGHTEYE

I have been a big fan of a peptide called Argireline, for a long time. Many think of this peptide, which has become popular in anti-aging skincare, as a great alternative to Botox. Having personally used it for quite some time, I think it is a pretty impressive ingredient. So when TIGHTEYE came across my radar, I was eager to try it because Argireline works best around the eye area, where we all eventually get a few lines, and good old crow’s feet.

TIGHTEYE contains a strong concentration of Argireline, which when applied topically, penetrates through the upper layers of the skin and interferes with the biochemical pathways involved in muscle contraction. Unlike Botox, it doesn’t and cannot paralyze your muscles, but it does soften the contraction, which causes the skin to wrinkle. Thus smile and frown wrinkles will soften. TIGHTEYE also contains Hyaluronic Acid, which attracts moisture to the kink, keeping it supple and elastic. It contains Vitamin C (an antioxidant, which prevents environmental damage), Bio-peptides that boost collagen, Green Caviar Extract from algae that helps with hyper pigmentation and boosts collagen, and Caffeine to perk up the eye area. Quite a potent cocktail of ingredients!

So, how does it perform? I applied TIGHTEYE to only one eye first to see if I could detect a visible difference. As directed I applied a dime size dollop to clean skin around my eye area. I waited for 4-5 minutes until the product has dried on my skin. Yikes – at this point, the dried film completely contracted my skin, and looked like that stuff that makeup artists put on actors to make them look older!!! I then used a little Micellar water to remove the product, and bingo – my eye area felt and looked great. I swiftly moved on to my other eye, and then added a generous dollop to the the frown lines between my eyebrows for good measure. I followed up with an eye cream.

Although it’s not a miracle product as it will not completely erase those lines (you’d need to go the full-on Botox and surgery route to do that), it’s a great alternative for anyone who takes their anti-aging skin care routine seriously. I don’t mind a few lines around my eyes because it looks natural, however, softening them up a little, and reducing my frown lines is definitely something I’m interested in!

I recommend you use it once a day – either in the am to brighten your eye area before applying makeup, or before you go to bed at night. TIGHTEYE is cruelty-free/not tested on animals.
