SOAP WALLA

I’ve heard heard rave reviews about Soap Walla’s Deodorant Cream for years, but I never got around to trying it. So, finally, they sent me one to road test, and I’m very impressed. It’s a thick cream/paste, which comes in the signature Soap Walla blue jar. You apparently need to stir in before using, which in my case wasn’t easy because the cool outside temperature had made it pretty firm – so I skipped the mixing part, and used it as is. I imagine that when the weather heats up a bit, it will liquify, and that’s probably when you need to give it a good stir. It goes on easily – and feels rather lovely to smooth a cream under your arm pits in the knowledge that you’re doing them no harm. I will add that the “cream” isn’t silky smooth – it it very slightly gritty, which didn’t bother me, but don’t expect a completely smooth cream.

This deodorant cream is not an “anti-perspirent” because it doesn’t contain aluminum, which messes with your sweat glands. Instead, they use agents like Kaolin Clay and Corn Starch, which absorb your sweat. You will also smell the subtle scent of a blend of essential oils, all of which are anti-bacterial.

I stayed sweet-smelling all day long – even after being dragged in and out of about 15 stores at the mall by my daughter and her friend (not my favorite activity,) so Soap Walla gets a thumbs up from me!
