I am so happy that entrepreneur, Rachel Ostroy, came up with the brilliant storage bag idea, Neat-os. Neat-os will encourage us all to stay away from plastic storage bags, which despite how many times we try to use them (for most people they are a 1-time use bag,) we always end up tossing them, and how many years do they take to degrade???
Although I reuse plastic storage bags at least 5 or 6 times, I still feel guilty about using them, which is why Neat-os came into my life at just the right time. They are brilliant: They are made of polyethylene canvas cloth with a nifty see-thru panel to be able to always see what’s inside. They are PVC, BPA & Phthalate-free, and come in a huge variety of sizes so can be used for produce bags, snack bags, sandwich bags, storage bags etc. When you are done for the day with your bag, you can toss it in your washing machine, or load it into your dishwasher. What else? Oh yes, they are fitted with proper zips, which is awesome if you, like me, are fed up of trying to re-seal ostensibly “re-sealable” baggies.
Come on people, here’s another great way that we can reduce the terrible amount of unhealthy plastic that we fill our lives with.
