GREENFIELD PAPER

treesandbirdsThe most eco-friendly option is to send e-cards where possible, however,  you may have some special/close friends and family who would love a beautiful card (perhaps enclosing a photo,) to keep. If you are going to buy cards, do the Greenest thing possible and make sure that they’re made from 100% post-consumer content, which isn’t always easy to find. My favorite paper company is Greenfield Paper and their holiday cards this year are divine. They’re all made from 100% post-consumer content, which means that old paper has been put to good use and obviously zero trees have been cut down. They are illustrated with soy inks. Get in your orders now, as these guys run out fast!

  1. I just visited the site, and these are fabulously green! I love sending cards, in fact, I collect them. Wherever I see a beautiful card I buy it and save to give later. Lately I’ve stopped doing this because I think of all the trees being cut down. Greenfield paper has amazing cards and paper, not to mention all the other goodies. This year I can feel happier sending cards knowing that NO trees had to be cut down in order for me to spread some holiday cheer.

  2. Wow! How cute are these cards. One of my faviorte holiday activities is to send out beautiful cards and now I can do it with a clean conscious!! Thank you so much

  3. I will not enter a contest for chocolate chip cookies
I will write it twenty times over
    or get a nookie
will my children remember to write all their thank yous
to their grandparents in England or
    cousins in Belarus?
Maybe if the pictures are already drawn
So mom does not threaten with crayons and nag on
and if mom loves the artwork then all for the good
saving the planet whilst being polite is how it’s done in this hood

  4. I like to use last years holiday cards as this years gift tags and decorations. Use pinking shears to cut out squares or rectangles or whatever you like from the front of the card
    and write on the back.
You can punch a whole on your favorite ones and hang them on the tree, or use as garland. Your family and friends will love seeing how you treasure their greetings.

  5. I have to admit to being a scrapbooker (not the most paper-friendly hobby); although most of the paper isn’t being thrown away…stil, more scrapbook companies are making their papers out of recycled paper so that’s good news! Love the fact that they are also printed using soy inks!
