When it starts getting warm, my wardrobe become a lot more casual. I go take yoga or a hike and kind of can’t be bothered to change out of what I’ve got on. This is why I love to find easy, super-comfy pieces that I can throw on over a pair of leggings and that feel great on my skin all day long.
Here are my favorite finds for the Summer, not just because they’re eco, but because they’re so well-made. Buying super-cheap clothes from big box stores is not economical if after only 2 or 3 washes, it looks terrible. I buy my clothes to last:
Beyond Yoga: I LOVE LOVE this line. Their leggings are ridiculously soft & comfy, and yet they also contain enough stretch to keep your bod looking streamlined and taut. My favorite legging for yoga and pottering around in the day is their Eco Diagonal Gathered Legging– once you’ve pulled a pair of these on, you’ll never take them off! The Eco Bandeau Bra is genius – the most comfy bra I’ve ever worn in my entire life, with removable straps.
Peri: These a simply gorgeous Summer pieces that you can throw over a pair of leggings and feel ready for the day. The dresses (the “Zinnia” is pictured above), are also great travel pieces because they fold up tiny, and don’t crease at all. Their organic fabrics are the best quality cotton you can imagine – it feels smooth and silky and washes well (no ironing required.) We also adore their “message” t-shirts (left).
The Conversion Dress by Horny Toad is a Summer favorite. It’s another piece that you’ll wear again and again. It’s perfect for a vacation as you can either wear the straps crisscrossed, straight or in a halter.
Patagonia’s All-Weather Dress: This is a must-have for the super-sporty girl. You can just throw it on
before going for a run or a hike and look gorgeous in the process. If you’re vacationing somewhere, where you know you’ll be exercising in the heat, this little number from one of the most eco-friendly clothing companies we know, will take up a zero amount of room in your bag!
