Bird Pick Tea

Bird Pick Tea

Obsessed as I am with tea, I was thrilled to discover Bird Pick Tea – a tea shop with three stores here in California and a wonderful website. White, oolong, and green teas have so many health benefits that it’s a great idea to try to incorporate them into your day. Bird Pick Tea makes this easy for those of you who may not be die-hard green tea drinkers, but want to give it a go. Some of their blends and flavored teas are just delicious.

One of my faves is the Caramel Houjicha, which is a toasted green tea with a subtle caramel flavor. It’s actually one of my favorite teas (sencha) that’s roasted to that gorgeous caramel flavor. It has less caffeine than other green teas, which I LOVE for afternoon sipping. It’s delicious with a little almond or rice milk either hot or iced.

I also love Bird Pick Tea’s Coldbuster blend – warming ginger, detoxify with honeysuckle and chrysanthemum and nourish with goji berries create the perfect blend of sweet and spicy herbs to fuel your body during a cold. I love having this blend on hand – the moment I feel a cold coming on, I reach for this blend to head symptoms off at the pass!

Finally, I highly recommend you try the Bird Pick Tea Asahina no Shincha. Shincha means “new tea,” meaning this tea is the first harvest of sencha. It is DELICIOUS.
