I’m planning a Memorial Day party this year, and I’m getting ahead of myself by creating my menu now because I’m going to be traveling a bit over the next few weeks, and being organized is key. The first thing to consider is what I’m going to put in my guest’s hands when they arrive, and there’s no doubt in my mind that my Organic Lavender Lemonade will be just the thing.
I love this lemonade because the lavender makes it a little different, plus if you present it in a glass with real dried lavender, or decorate your serving table with lavender and other herbs, it looks so pretty.
You will be using a lavender essential oil in your recipe, but it’s imperative that you use pure organic lavender essential oil for any kind of culinary use.
Ingredients
- 2 cups freshly squeezed organic lemon juice
- 1 dropper Stevia drops (or to taste), or if you don’t like Stevia, use 1/2 cup raw agave nectar
- 4 cups filtered water
- 2 cups coconut water
- 4 drops pure lavender essential oil
- A bunch of fresh or dried lavender, rinsed
- A bunch of fresh mint, rinsed
- 2 cups ice
Instructions:
- Place all the ingredients, except for the lavender sprigs and mint, in a pitcher and whisk to make sure that everything is well combined.
- Add a few springs of mint and lavender to the pitcher when you add the ice, just before serving.
- Enjoy your organic lavender lemonade!
Tip: Keep a few sprigs of lavender and mint handy to add to each glass.
