Natural Travel Essentials

Natural Travel Essentials

I love traveling and exploring new cultures and have become quite good at packing light and figuring out what essentials to always have on hand while in foreign countries, or just away for the weekend. Here is a list of some of my favorite travel essentials.

Toiletries Containers: Rather than buying those discount travel toiletries I prefer bringing my own products in Muji containers. They are easy to use, and mean that I can take all my Gorgeously Green recipe skincare while on the go.

Water: I know most of us have heard it before, but hydrating is really the most important thing you can do while travelling.  My favorite water bottle to keep on hand is my bkr water bottle. This glass bottle surrounded by silicon is a strong, easy to use, and the perfect size to fit in any travel bag. www.mybkr.com/bottle.asp

Natural Non-toxic Hand Disinfectant: Airplanes and hotels are not known for being the cleanest of places so packing a non-toxic hand sanitizer is a must for traveling. Make sure to find a sanitizer that is natural and made without harsh alcohols. You can’t go wrong with the EO lavender wipes.

Herbal Chamomile Eye Cover: Sleeping while traveling can prove difficult, time changes, strange beds, and cramped airplanes are not the easiest to fall asleep with. I always keep an eye cover with chamomile flowers in it to help get some sleep in even the strangest of places. We love this Dream Essence eye mask with removable sachets for the herbs.

Ear Plugs: Needless to say! We like the Ohropax Wax ear plugs, which come in a handy tin.

Power Bars & Protein Snacks: Getting enough protein and having healthy food available is a must for me and also helps to lessen the possibility for getting food sickness while traveling. I carry a dozen vegan protein bars whenever I am traveling abroad so I am ready for a snack, just in case! We’re obsessed with the Good On Ya bar.

Vegan Bag:  I have a slight obsession with finding the perfect travel bag but after two years using my vegan Matt & Nat bag I have to say I think it might just be the perfect bag! Made with vegan leather, and interior fabric made from recycled water bottles their bags are durable, functional, and fashionable. Also, the Dewberry Tote by Canopy Verde is about as good as it gets for a perfect airplane/beach bag.

Sunglasses: We love the new Tom’s sunglasses. The styles are super-sexy, and it always feels good to give back.
