You may have some dried Lavender and/or Rose petals at home. (Note to self: If you grow these plants, remember to harvest and dry them for next year!). If you don’t have these dried flowers, you can easily purchase them along with the other ingredients at Mountain Rose Herbs.
I have chosen to add a blend of Geranium and Lavender Essential oils because together they are both uplifting & relaxing – it’s also one of my favorite scent blends. Remember a bottle of either of these oils will last you a long time, and they are both specific oils that you will use for many other things.
- 1/2 cup dried lavender flowers
- 1/2 cup dried rose petals
- 1 1/2 cups Dead Sea Salt
- 3 tbsp Sweet Almond or Grape Seed Oil
- 20 drops Geranium Essential Oil
- 20 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Simply mix all the ingredients really well in a medium-sized bowl. When you are done, spoon the mixture into a mason jar or any jar that has a good seal. You may want to double or triple the recipe to make 2 or 3 lovely gifts at the same time.
