DIY Argan Nail & Cuticle Oil

There is no need to buy expensive cuticle treatments from the drug store, when you can easily create your own DIY Argan Nail and Cuticle Oil at home for a fraction of the price.

I am using both Argan oil to soften the cuticles, and Evening Primrose Oil to nourish your nail bed.

I am also using 4 essential oils – all known for nourishing and strengthening your nails. However, if you only have one or two of the oils handy, you can leave out the others (I don’t want you to have to go crazy buying a bunch of oils). On a side note, I am constantly building my collection of pure essential oils. It’s an investment because they are expensive, but they keep for up to 3 years in a cool, dark cabinet. And, they have SO many uses.

I recommend going polish free for every other manicure cycle. Let your natural nails breathe and grow strong. If, however, you are like my friend Liz (totally addicted to gel manicures), see if you can go polish free for a couple of weeks (summertime is ideal), and use this nail and cuticle treatment everyday.

Another tip is to take your DIY bottle with you to the nail salon, and ask them to apply in place of the low-quality one that they typically use.
