Ok guys! This is a follow-up video to the DIY Base Sunscreen I posted last week. This is all part of my fabulous collaboration with the lovely Ashley from Ashley’s Green Life. We’re each making the base sunscreen, and I’m customizing the recipe for anti-aging skin, and she’s customizing for kids!
So, if you haven’t watched the original video with the fabulous customizable recipe, here’s the link.
So, let’s talk about how to customize this recipe! You’ll need
- 1 tsp magnesium ascorbyl phosphate
- 1 tsp monoi oil
- 5 drops rose oil
Directions
- Dissolve your magnesium ascorbyl phosphate in distilled water for tea (about 2 tsp liquid)
- Whisk vigorously into the sunscreen base
- Add 1 tsp monoi oil and whisk again
- Whisk in 5 drops of rose essential oil
Pro tip: Keep your sunscreen in the fridge to extend its shelf life, and use something other than your finger to scoop it out to keep the sunscreen free of bacteria. And remember to reapply every 2 hours!!
