I have to say that I do feel super guilty having baths because I live in LA (drought – hello!!). But, it’s the one treat that I allow myself every now and again because it’s so therapeutic – especially because we are now officially in Winter – YESSSSSS, WE HAD RAIN yesterday! Anyway, it is getting a bit chilly here, especially at night, and so I crave a hot bath almost every night – but allow myself one a week.
My favorite bath is one that de-stresses and detoxifies at the same time – and this is it. The Epsom salt delivers a dose of muscle-relaxing magnesium, and the Bentonite clay binds to toxins (including chlorine in the water), which makes it an excellent detoxifying agent. And Lavender, of course, is what you need to melt your cares away.
- 1 cup Epsom Salt
- 1 tbsp Bentonite clay
- 20 drops lavender essential oil
Mix the ingredients together before adding to a bath of hot water.
