Almond Milk

90-2

Are you going Dairy Free this week? One of the big questions you might be asking yourself is “How will I replace MILK when I’m dairy free?”

Two words for you, my friend: Almond Milk.

Not only is almond milk FULL of nutrients, it is amazing plant-based alternative to regular milk. Here are the facts:

  • Consuming almond milk helps in reducing and maintaining blood pressure
  • It helps with weight management (one cup of almond milk has just 60 calories, whole milk has 146)
  • Almond milk is completely free of cholesterol and has absolutely no saturated fat, making it a huge boost to help your healthy heart
  • It has all the ‘good fats’ such as omega fatty acids) and is low in sodium
  • Almond milk is low in carbohydrates, which means it won’t significantly increase your blood sugar levels, reducing your risk for diabetes
  • Almond milk is full of Vitamin E, which helps to maintain healthy skin

Those are just a few of the facts – I really could go on and on. But you want to know the best thing about almond milk? You can make it yourself! Heres my recipe for DIY Almond Milk!
