I add a scoop of “Smoosh” to my morning smoothie because it’s so easy – it also negates my need to add almond milk and a bunch of the other ingredients that I would usually have to drag out of my cabinets.
INGREDIENTS
Servings: About 4- 6 smoothies
- 3 bananas
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 6 dates, pitted
- 4 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Simply place all the ingredients in a food processor and process until you have a grainy consistency. Depending on how many smoothies you are making, you might want to store half of your mixture in glass container in the freezer. I usually store the amount that I’ll need for about 4 smoothies in the fridge because the mixture will keep well for that amount of time.
TO USE
When you are ready for your smoothie, use an ice cream scoop to scoop out what you need (1-2 scoops), then add whatever ingredients you fancy, plus 8 ounces of filtered water and 1/2 cup of crushed ice.
ADDITION IDEAS
- 1 cup of organic frozen blueberries or cherries
