Shopping – Top Eight “Stop ‘n Thinks”

I just love shopping, so in my attempt to stay green, here are some of the guidelines that I try to follow:

  1. Consider what the gravesite of every purchase you make will look like.
  2. Try to buy quality rather than quantity. Quality products will last longer.
  3. Try to buy items with as little packaging as possible.
  4. Try to have at least one day a week when you buy nothing
  5. Try to buy as many products that re made in the U.S.A. as possible
  6. Don’t think you have to go completely “Sustainable” all at once. Buying just one organic t-shirt makes a difference, as we vote with our dollars.
  7. Make as many things as you can at home. Clueless is out and crafty is in. With my new book, Do It Gorgeously, you can learn to make everything from organic skincare to dog treats!

  1. I just love my made at home cleanser, toner, serums, and foundation. Won’t buy “store bought” again!! Thanks for the help.

Love it. This is old school for the young at heart. Thanks. I want the book gorgeous and green. I want to sell the products as well in house parties to spread the word. Thanks Darlene
