YAROK

Summer is of course one of my favorite seasons because we get more sunshine (in most places of the world), which improves mood and immunity. Even if I have a busy summer day with work and errands and what have you, I try to make time to get outside into the fresh air and sun and go for a walk. It is important to use the sun to stimulate natural energy in yourself, as it is the source of energy for life! So take advantage of the long days and carve out a little time for yourself and soak up some Vitamin D.

If you are spending a lot of time in the sun this summer, with your friends and family, at the lake, pool, creek, make sure you are protected from the rays of the sun with a great quality natural sunscreen. I have several that I recommend, you can find them in my Opensky curator page.

The skin gets a lot of attention when it comes to UV rays and damage, but what about our hair? It seems like mine is always getting a bit toasty in the sun and dry in the swimming pool. I was so pleased to try a new product by Yarok, whose tagline is “Feed your head, good for the Earth”. That sounds like a good plan to me! This product is called Feed Your Sunshine, and it is a potent hair serum made from aloe vera and black currant seed oils. You should use it before and after swimming to lock in moisture and protect hair from chlorine, ocean salt, and to soothe the hair after sun exposure . It is perfect for the whole family, especially those little ones who spend hours in the pool. I like to use it everyday regardless because it makes my hair shiny and soft at the ends, with an all natural formula that I love: pure joboba, black currant seed, aloe vera, wheat germ, tea tree, lemongrass and geranium oil.  You can probably tell from the ingredients that it smells amazing as well, lemongrass and geranium are two of my favorite essential oils. So enjoy your sunshine and protect your locks while lifting your mood and taking advantage of the season.
