Having loved and been around cats all my life, I know what a difference an effective kitty litter makes. Now I have two cats, Nero and Zero, who have tried many different types and brands of litter. Most of them fall short. I don’t want their kitty lungs to be inhaling the dust and silica from the cheap, clay litters and I don’t want to be exposed to a chemicals and potential carcinogens. I was so excited to try World’s Best Cat Litter multiple cat clumping formula, which just may be as the name implies. It is milled from renewable whole kernel corn! The structure of the corn makes it naturally odor absorbing but completely chemical free, trapping smells and moisture inside. It clumps more easily and quickly than clay or pellets and is completely flushable and biodegradable (unlike clay litters which stay in landfills forever). One 7 lb. bag is supposed to last 15 days or more, and it definitely does last my cats about 3 weeks, which is a long time for a small bag, believe me! You won’t notice the lingering smell of clay or the chemically fresh fragranced regular litters, it’s a lack of smell you’ll notice. That way you can enjoy your cats! You can buy it on their website www.worldsbestkittylitter.com or find a retailer in your area. They have this litter at Petco and most Whole Foods as well.
Truly the best—no exaggeration. I use the multi-cat version, with a standard covered litter box. It does give off a slight corn odour, but it’s not unpleasant. And it clumps better than clay, without sticking to cats’ paws. Best benefit of the clumping action: after you scoop away all of the waste, the remaining litter stays fresher longer, which makes up for the premium price.
