I think almost every single dermatologist on the planet is in agreement that the #1 rule for an anti-aging regime, is to use sunblock religiously. Unfortunately, the penny dropped for me when I was will into my 30’s. Never mind-I’m now making up for lost time by using all kinds of amazing sun-damage-reversal products, and slathering on sunscreen.
Now that we’re heading into fall, it’s so important not to get complacent thinking that you don’t need to be quite as sunblock-crazed. You do! I’ve learned (way too late), that UVA rays are even more damaging to your skin than UVB rays (which give you a tan), and UVA rays are present year-round. So, regardless of where you live, and the time of year, you need to take your sun-screening seriously 365 days a year if you want to prevent premature aging.
Much had been written about the chemicals in sunscreens that can cause skin cancer. Yes, it’s true – there are almost 30 chemicals in most conventional/drugstore sunscreens, which are really not healthy. So, it’s important that you find a non-chemical sunscreen that you love.
Here’s my number one choice – and I’m so thankful that this product exists. Suntegrity is a genius can’t-live-without product that I use everyday. It is a 5-in-1 product: a moisturizing facial sunscreen that treats, hydrates, primes, and covers your skin. It comes in 2 shades: light or medium. You will be able to wear it on its own, or add a little mineral foundation if you want extra coverage. I’m so psyched to have finally found a product that meets so many needs in one large tube. Don’t miss this special offer on Open Sky that runs for ONE DAY ONLY (8/30), where you’ll be able to snap this up at a fantastic price. Tell all your friends to stock up too because once the day’s over, you won’t get it for this price again.
I heard lots of Physical sunscreen now using Micronized or nano size Titium Dioxide and/or Zinc oxide which could be harmful to your health. Is it true?

Great question. There is controversy surrounding the nano-particles, however, the particles used in Suntegrity are not small enough to be considered harmful in any way at all.
Suntegrity does not use nano-particles in their sunscreens. Nanoparticles are particles defined as less than 100 nanometers in diameter, or 0.1 micron. Most nanoparticle sunscreens in the marketplace have particle sizes of 15 nanometers or 0.015 micron. The zinc oxide used in Suntegrity products are in the micron range (0.22 micron = 220nm) which is considered non-nano. This is why their regular/non-tinted sunscreens start out white. This initial white helps you see where you applied the sunscreen so you don’t miss a spot and it quickly disappears into the skin after you rub it in.
