TAN ORGANIC

So when I went to NYC this week, I planned to wear a sleeveless dress where my horribly white arms and legs would need some serious help in the color department. I was sent a bottle of Tan Organic a while ago, so thought I’d give it a road test. It is a completely non-toxic product, which comes in a large bottle with a silky mitt. I exfoliated the day before (as suggested,) and applied the following morning. They suggest you wear loose dark clothing for the day and NOT shower for at least 8 hours after application.

If you’ve every had a spray-on tan, it’s the same sort of deal, only you’re applying it yourself. The advantage is that you save a LOT of money, as you’ll get dozens and dozens of applications out of this one bottle. The downside is that it’s tough to get to certain areas (namely your back!) – so you might need a willing partner to give you a hand. The silky mitt makes application really easy, however, I made the mistake of putting on my birkenstocks soon after and got some streaking on my feet  – NOT GOOD!

I highly recommend this product – even having to go to the trouble of ordering it from the UK – it’s really worth it. My one caveat is that you really must be prepared to take some time out after application to wear a very loose wrap and no shoes for the best effect. I exfoliated and re-tanned my feet, so all was well. My streak-free tan lasted a good 5 days and looked naturally fantastic.
