Okay, Radical Skin Care is a pretty awesome skin care line. It was sent to me a while back, but I wanted to really give it some testing-time before I reviewed it – so here goes:
One of the most important ingredients categories in terms of anti-aging are, of course, anti-oxidants. However, this has become a buzzword and a blanket-marketing term in the skin care industry. The real issue, as with all important ingredients, is the protection of the ingredient (we don’t want it oxidizing) and the delivery system (we actually want it to penetrate the epidermis). Radical Skincare has addressed these two issues with their patented Trylacel Technology, which does both of the aforementioned things: encapsulates and protects the ingredient, while creating a penetrative delivery system.
They promise that you will see a 50% decrease in wrinkle depth after 4 weeks usage. I used both the serum and the moisturizer (which is recommended). The serum is a dark brownish/reddish color because of the berry/coffee antioxidant. The color disappears as soon as it penetrates into your skin. The moisturizer is wonderfully silky and smooth. Do I see a wrinkle decrease? Hmm – it’s really hard to say. It don’t have the measuring tools to determine this fine science, or before & after photos. My husband’s not a good judge, and my daughter most certainly is not! So, I can only rely on my horrendously harsh magnifying mirror. I can only say that my skin looks pretty darn good after almost 4 weeks of application.
These Radical Products come at a pretty radical Price – and there’s the hitch. I don’t love to recommend or even review super-pricey products however, there are a few women I know who go to departments stores to buy horribly expensive creams that they’ve read celebrities use – and the ingredients are at best useless, and at worst – toxic. So, if you happen to be one of these ladies who can shell out a pretty penny for some skincare that really does what it says it will – check out Radical Skin Care.
