I’ve never been a huge fan of fresh-in-a plastic-box ravioli (unless really freshly made) because they can taste a bit rubbery, however, I just sampled a couple of different boxes of Monterey Ravioli and OMG – they are delicious. No wonder – this company is Natural in the true sense of the word: no GMO’s, hormones, hydrogenated oils, MSG or anything artificial. This can’t be said for many of the other boxed raviolis and the truth is in the taste. I don’t know how they manage to get the pasta so thin – unlike their rubbery counterparts, this pasta has the texture of the kind of fresh pasta you would get in a really good restaurant. My favorite flavors so far? It’s a toss-up between the butternut squash with orange/sage dough, and the shrimp and lobster. Please, Sir, can I have some more?
