Electra Bikes

I am absolutely in love with my new Electra bicycle. It is bright green with little hummingbirds hand painted on it. It’s their new “Townie” and I can promise you that once you get on one of these, you won’t want to get off. It’s perfect for riding around town and I get comments on its unusual design wherever I go! I never realized that cycling could be so addictive and a day isn’t a good day when I haven’t gone out for a spin on my Gorgeously Green Cycle. I have decided to replace at least one of the many short car trips I take a day with a bracing, bottom-firming bike ride. I’m saving money, the planet and my tush..what could be better!

Electra’s “Way to Roll” is a movement that celebrates individuals around the globe who are taking action to make the world a better place through environmental conservation, social aid and artistic exploration.

I highly recommend that you check out their website and there’s a style to suit everyone.

  2. this bike style is my style toooooo
(i have a LOT of this yellow-green in my home)
this bike would be perfect for riding my daughter in a baby carrier! it’s very flat where i live, so i don’t have to have a lot of gears. this is the ultimate green mod*mom cruiser!

(i host “green” giveaways too. i have a degree in environmental science + i’m an athlete: speed skating, plus cross-training with road cycling on an ultra light bike in the hills, but i need a bike to take me daughter along with me)

  3. oops!
i apologize for not proofing that + what i not expressing my excitement enought about this fantastic bike giveaway!
i would be so thrilled to win!

  4. WOW! It makes you glad to be a kid again, knowing you can ride a cool bike like this, save the planet, and get all the cardio-benefits and breathe that unsmoggy-air around you!
I’m a dis-abled mum, and I gave up he car to save the planet, but walking is taking a toll on my brittle bones, frequently fracturing my spine, ankles etc, walking on pavement (we were not DESIGNED to walk on pavement!) It looked like I was headed to the confines of a wheelchair to get around, but THIS is a MUCH better idea, movement without jarring! I know what I’m putting on MY wish list! *nana

Does anyone know the price of these bikes because I will love to get one? If some of my friends saw this bike I can guarantee they would get one. I’m a biology major so I know the importance of saving the earth and our bodies.

  6. How much are these bikes and do they have a height/weight limit? I would love to get one and suggest the bikes to my friends.

  7. Wow! How AWESOME is this bike? It’s TOO AWESOME!!! So are the other styles. I’d love to have one. I miss bike riding to the farmer’s market on Saturday morning with a good green girlfriend of mine.

I’m so glad it’s warming up!

  8. I have admires these bikes for a while now. Even have one on my dream board. I would live to win one as they are a bit out of my price range. 🙂 I love your book by the way, highlightes and stickies everywhere.

  9. I just got a used Townie in a lovely light pearly blue, and it cost $370 with all the bells and whistles. Townie rack on the back, speedometre, twinkly lights, pump, tool kit, gloves, panniers. All I need now is a rain cape, headlights for night, and a basket for the front. Going out for my first ride today. It is a 21 gear girl’s Townie.

  10. I am truly in love with my Townie!! My husband bought it for me for our 33rd wedding anniversary. It is a 7 speed lovely orange pearl. I ride everyday, sometimes more than once. I find I get so much pleasure just tooling around the neighborhood looking at the pretty gardens. It reminds me of when I was a young girl and hopped on my bike just because I could!

Thank you Ms. Uliano as I had not heard of these bikes until I came upon your website. Alas, I don’t even want to think about our cold long winters when I will have to put away my bike 🙁 yet…there is always the return of spring!
