One of the first steps on any journey to “going green” is to seriously evaluate the amount of plastic you use. Specifically, I’m looking at single-use plastic. Things like disposable water bottles, to-go cups, straws (don’t even get me started), clamshells that berries come in, packing materials … you get the picture. I started this process in my kitchen (where I do my best thinking), and I made a commitment to moving away from sealable plastic bags. You know the kinds that snap as you close them (not naming any name brands). And I was so excited when I found Eco.Ditty!
We love this Eco.Ditty snack bag. It’s not only adorable, but it’s made of 100% organic cotton and is a perfect alternative to re-sealable plastic bags, which inevitably find their way into the trash after just one use. Jenne Hammer discovered that her daughter, aged 2, was allergic to PVC plastic. In ridding her home of toxins, she realized that she needed to find a good food storage/transport solution, so she created the Eco.Ditty. These little bags have found their way into numerous celebrity swag and diaper bags. They can be tossed in with the laundry time and time again. Eco.Ditty has so many bag options (including sandwich, snacks, and lunch), they’re the perfect option for families looking to cut back on the plastic used in a child’s lunch!

I want that Eco-Ditty snack bag! 🙂
I love to use Eco-Ditties when I travel. I put jewelry in one. Makeup in another. Fem products in yet another. I feel all organized and chic at the same time.
Gotta’ love businesses that are eco minded….from their products to their office (gone solar). Nice alternative to plastic bags, for sure.
