Moms love homemade and DIY Mother’s Day Gifts. I’d much rather receive a homemade gift from my daughter, rather than something she’s had to go out and buy. DIY Mother’s Day Gifts are a great alternative to the sometimes forced gift-giving we see this time of year.
Here are my top ideas, which you still have plenty of time to make:
- Healthy Chocolate Truffles: These are ridiculously healthy, decadent, and delicious.
- DIY Minty Salt Hand Scrub: This is perfect for mom, especially if you find a pretty mason jar and ribbon.
- DIY Vitamin C Face & Body Serum: This serum is easy, inexpensive and super effective, and perfect for mums who are thinking about anti-aging!
- Cuticle Oil: My mom loves this oil because she does masses of yard work and gardening and always needs to give her hands a little TLC.
- Lavender Rose Body Scrub: This is my new favorite!
And, in case you still need some inspiration, here is an incredibly easy DIY that mum is sure to love!!
Relaxing Bath Salts:
This is the easiest to make and I can never have enough of them in my bathroom.
You will need:
- 1 16-ounce pretty jar
- 1 cup Epsom Salts
- 1 cup sea salt
- 30 drops lavender essential oil
- 2 tbsp dried lavender flowers (optional)
Simply mix the ingredients in a bowl. Pour into the jar and make a pretty label. You can also add a little wooden scoop.
I am giving my Mom a hand knit pair of socks & Hazelnut Chcolate Chip Shortbread.
