Now, let me explain for a second – I’m a bit of a sheet nerd. I drive my husband crazy because the feel and texture of sheets really bothers me, which makes for a bit of nightmare situation when we travel. He jokes that I need the “pillow menu” wherever we go, but I am seriously affected by sheets that feel slippery, rough, itchy, and just darn uncomfortable. Over the years I’ve wasted more money than I care to think about on sheet sets that were advertised to be crazy soft (with an insane thread count and all that), but which more than disappointed.
So, when Bedgear came across my radar with the promise of super soft “hyper” cotton (wasn’t sure exactly what that was), sheets made with eco friendly fibers, I was game to give them a try.
The whole deal with these sheet is that they allow air to circulate and thus supposedly cool your body down. This was a good sell for me because I do get overheated at night, and nothing is as bad for a good night’s sleep. Sleep experts tell us that a cooler temperature is way better, and yet I really don’t want to have my air con working round the clock. So, lightweight, airy bedding is key – and this starts with the sheets. Do they perform as advertised? Absolutely! I slept like a baby.
But the thing that makes me want to toss out all my other sheets and just have the Bedgear ones from now on, is the softness factor. They are SOFTER than any high thread count sheet I’ve ever slept in. And we’re talking baby soft. The other aspect that I’m in love with is that the fitted sheets have stretchy edges, so they’re really easy to fit around a big old mattress, and ones on they don’t shift – so no wrinkling going on.
So, my friends, a sheet road test that ended in 100% satisfaction. Now, I look forward to going to bed more than I did before!
