One of the most powerful things that you can do is to get on your computer and sign a petition about something you really care about. The landscape has changed for activists and now we really can effect great change with just the click of a mouse! If you could change one policy that would make for a cleaner and safer environment, what would it be? I love asking groups of people this question because after giving it some serious thought, every single person comes up with something that they are truly passionate about. I asked a group this weekend and among the group were a few nine and ten year-old kids who were more concerned than I could ever have imagined about issues ranging from the cruel treatment of animals in factory farms to how we are going to live when oil has run out. Please ask yourself, your family and your friends this question. It’s Earth week and time for us all to dig a bit deeper and discover what are deeper values are.
