It’s really important for me to do the full-on 360 when I am considering a product. With an explosion of “green” marketing coming at us from just about every angle, it makes sense to dig beneath the label/marketing claims and to consider every aspect of the company from the ground up. Fortunately B Corporation is making this increasingly easy for us. If they so choose, any company or corporation can apply to join the B Corporation community. Upon application, every level of their manufacturing and production will be assessed in terms of whether it is sustainable, ethical and just plain “good”. It’s worth checking whose on board so far. I also like Good Guide, as I think they can guide us pretty accurately in the right direction. So don’t be fooled by the green wash – keep your enquiring/questioning mind sharp and ever read to ask some out-of-the-box questions. Being Gorgeously Green is about taking responsibility for our lives and demanding nothing but the best.
