We all need a good moisturizer. No matter our skin type, we ideally need to find a functional anti-aging daytime moisturizer that contains enough SPF to keep sun damage at bay. I love to check out the most popular organic skin care brand in the UK, and a few years back I was delighted to discover Kimberly Sayer skin care. A friend of mine was raving about Kimberly’s moisturizers because she said she’d finally found a product line that didn’t make her break out. So, I grabbed myself some samples to try before heading home to Los Angeles.
Kimberly’s line is the perfect combo of beauty & science. She blends carefully chosen plant extracts with active ingredients to create very user-friendly products. Her daytime moisturizers are, as my friend pointed out, outstanding. If you have combination or oily skin, I highly recommend the Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer (SPF 30,) which comes in a handy pump dispenser. Simply apply to your face, neck and decollete before you apply your make up, and you’ll be set to go. Your makeup will look gorgeous when layered on top of it – dewy and fresh.
If you have dry/mature skin, you may be better of with the Anti-oxidant Daily Moisturizing Cream (SPF 30,) which contains nettle extract to promote cellular growth, and Beach Bud extract, which helps repair and heal damaged cells. Unlike many moisturizers for dry skin, this cream doesn’t sit on your skin – it absorbs quickly enough for you to be able to apply makeup right away. If you tend to crease around and under your eyes, you can pat a little extra on that area – starting at the inner corner of your eyes and smoothing toward the outer eye. Don’t forget to carefully apply under your eyebrows (eye shadow doesn’t contain SPF!) and your neck and chest, too.
