Konjac cleansing sponge from One Love Organics

French Pink Clay Cleansing Sponge

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Cleansing sponges (aka Konjac Sponges), have become really trendy over the last 2 years, and I can totally understand why. They exfoliate and brighten your skin, but in a really gentle way. And, with the ban on exfoliating plastic micro beads in cosmetics (thank God!), I’m always interested in a good exfoliating product.

One Love Organic’s French Pink Clay Cleansing Sponge is made from the all-natural Konjac plant, which is known for the ability of its fiber to literally pull impurities out of your skin. It also buffs away makeup, grime and daily dirt – so it’s all you need (with the exception of a little eye makeup remover), and it’s a perfect addition to you travel cosmetic bag.

How to use: You need to soak it in warm water for around 10 minutes until it has fully expanded. Once it becomes soft and spongy, you can begin cleansing your face with it. You can also use it with your favorite cleanser for extra cleansing. Start in the center of your face and massage out toward the sides of your face with your sponge. You can also use circular motions. The key is to really give your face a good cleansing massage. I recommend taking your time so that it becomes an am/pm beauty ritual.

Once you are done, rinse your sponge thoroughly, and hang in a dry spot to dry. Be careful not to hang it in a humid shower stall, as you don’t want the damp to encourage bacteria growth. Your sponge should be replaced every 6 weeks.

Most of all, I love the Rose Clay in this One Love Organic’s Sponge  because it gently draws out impurities, while keeping your skin well-moisturized. If you haven’t yet tried a Konjac exfoliating sponge, now’s the time. Many of my friends are in love with it, and it’s inexpensive enough to give it a try.

Also, an adorable little Valentine add-on gift for a girl or guy, right?
